Three big holes

This is not my creation. It is a very old painting (probably before 1930) and belongs to a gentle family of our city. Made with oils on textile. I owned it some days to recover it. There were 3 big holes and hundreds small on the rotten surface. After restoration, it was covered about 90 percent of new colors and the rest by soft colored glazing. Final was sealed using mat varnish. The old yellowed colors remained almost the same but the thousands brown traces were covered. The only thing I left unfixed was the textile looseness on the frame. About 100x50 cm. A beautiful romantic scene into the dark smoke of wars.
